Yori Ettema is fascinated by the digital intersections within our world. We are moving towards a symbioses, the merging of the artificial and the natural. Yori’s work contains elements of health, futures and the unexpected. He is not afraid to be wrong, and is willing to challenge himself.
Yori started in the world of Aero-technical and Automotive -maintenance, he took a right turn and studied at the Willem de Kooning Academy, Product Design. He also started a one-man company – YoriON – in 2016 where he contributed to various projects related to video and art. In 2020 his cumulative efforts came to fruition in the project DeepMemory. Where he seeks the boundaries of creating new memories to aid people coping with severe anxieties.
